You've got a lot of good thoughts here.

It's hard sometimes, being a feminist. Sometimes too hard. I don't think one can be, effectively, without being incredibly forgiving.

Sometimes I think we do better with feminism as individuals, rather than the broader political or social movements. But I'm saying that being able to vote, own property, have a bank account and a credit account, having been to college, etc. Until recently, I was saying that having a meaningful guarantee to reproductive freedom. I don't have that anymore, or it's under threat. Social movements are often messy.

I think you are still a feminist at heart. You still believe in the ideology. You just disagree on the travel arrangements of getting from here to there. There's nothing wrong with that and you're certainly not alone. Many of us travel alone.
