But I opted out of dating men myself a few years ago. It's just not worth the hassle anymore. With all this Influencer, alpha male ideology, and PUA culture....well, the menfolk are having a moment. They're not offering anything good. Seems like anybody decent is already married or permanently partnered and I'm not about to mess with that.

It is surprising, though, how many young women have no interest in dating. They see men as either gross old men skeeving on them or abject nuisances if the man is near their age. There's just a whole lot fewer who are willing to wade through the cesspool.

The "cesspool" has always been there to some extent. But, you know, 30 years ago it wasn't too too difficult to find someone decent enough relatively quickly. But without doubt, the cesspool has gotten a lot denser and murkier.
