You're not wrong. It might be moderately better in Democratic states as there are more likely to be more liberal men living there willing to share the work load as opposed to Republican states and Reoublican states tend to dmhave more authoritarian religions heavy on complementarian doctrine but Federal laws get in the way of a lot of progressive policies and trends over the last half century or so.

So ready for the pendulum to swing away from extreme conservativism. They've gone batshit crazy.
