You’re making some biased assumptions based on the fact that she’s a woman.
One, that the officer directly aimed at her rather than just into the crowd.
Two, that in the press of bodies and the heat of the moment he knew she was a woman. I’m not convinced that’s reasonable.
Three, that in that press of bodies he could tell who was armed and who was not. Definitely not reasonable. Some people were, that’s all he’d need to know to justify firing.
Four, Looking at the video, someone hoisted her up and she was attempting to breach the barricaded door. This, after guards had stepped aside and were going to be evacuated out. They didn’t wait for the guy behind the barricaded door to be evacuated. They had renewed their efforts to breach. It’s reasonable he would have been concerned for his own life.
Five, the hypocrisy here is just astounding. Conservatives have railed against BLM for years now. Y’all seem to be perfectly A-okay with black children being shot by police just going about their day, unarmed and not committing any crime. But, by golly, the minute a white woman gets shot you start falling all over yourselves hollering foul. She might not have been armed, but she was engaged in the same criminal, treasonous, conduct alongside those who were. Police officers were murdered. Beaten to death. So much for “back the blue", huh?
If in the commission of a bank robbery the guard gets shot, is the thieves' driver absolved of a murder charge? Even if he/she was in the car the whole time? Nope. They are not. They are just as guilty. The driver participated in the crime.
Same thing. The law is supposed to work the same for everyone. Political affiliation doesn’t make any difference. Neither does gender.
The officer was placed on administrative leave pending investigation. That’s more than a lot of black families get.
That bullet saved her from the hanging she’d earned herself because that’s the penalty for treason. Everyone there that day that breached the building is guilty of treason.
Let’s also not forget murder is exactly what they were there to do to the Vice President and most likely several Democratic Congresspersons.
Would you be crying foul if Nancy Pelosi, AOC, Ayanna Pressley, or Ilhan Ohmar had been caught, dragged out on capitol grounds and lynched on a tree, or that scaffolding that was poorly erected?
They’re women too.
Yet I get the distinct impression you would have cheered their deaths and spent all this time hence flooding the internet with racist misogynist memes about how they deserved it for doing THE JOB THEY WERE ELECTED TO DO.
You think your opinion — no, it’s not an opinion. It’s a choice. You think your choice to believe a proven LIE (proven via multiple facets and avenues) matters more than the vote choice of the tens or hundreds of thousands of people who elected those women duly and lawfully.
My God. The gall. I don’t know how you people sleep at night.
