You’re incorrect. America certainly is at a point of racial reckoning. However, America is not the only country in the world that has issues with bigotry. Divides exist everywhere. People across the globe fight for equality and human rights and against persecutions of all kinds. This is a human struggle.
I guess the question is, do you think your chances of equality being met are better here or elsewhere? At least the ethos is here, even if we haven’t made it yet. That’s just not true of everywhere. Some places are doing better, but they haven’t always, and there’s no guarantee they won’t see a rise of bigotry again like what we’re currently seeing in the US.
Where would you go that you would have it better? Guaranteed? Forever?
Lastly, even if the rest of the world shunned us, we’d still be okay. It would be a rough transition, to be sure, and we’d miss a lot of things, but the country is large enough, with enough resources, and arable enough to provide for it’s citizens. Not all countries can say that, actually, probably not many. But they’re not going to do that for rather obvious reasons. This quarantine is not permanent and it’s not personal. And we’ve barred travel from hot spots too.
