You're deflecting here and proving huge chunks of my point in the process.

We're talking about public safety and being able to walk the streets and you blame mothers.

Typical.

Research also shows that a mothers influence has limits. Children are going to adopt the beliefs and behaviors of the surrounding culture regardless of what they were taught different by their mother or parents.

That's why it's such a slow process.

Plus, women are no more naturally inclined toward empathy than men. They're just more likely to act on it because there are fewer social proscriptions against it.

In my house, you didn't go to Mom if you wanted sympathy and understanding. You went to Dad, Grandma, Papa, or Aunt.

Your best bet was Grandma/Papa depending on the issue but Dad was more accessible and generally amiable. Mom? Not so much.
