You're British and I'm American. I actually seem to be followed by a lot of British men, no idea why. Maybe it's the modern hillbilly experience.

I do hear many British men speaking to feeling hurt by how women view them, regard them, and treat them. I've even asked a few what the hell is going on over there, lol.

I don't get that from American men. American men don't care. They'll just throw a tantrum of some sort or threaten/become violent. They'll try to "game" dating and relationships in some new way. You would not believe the bullshit they will attempt to pull. Alpha male influencer culture has really done a number on American men. Far too many have radicalized themselves and chugged the kool-aid. Obviously not all American men. But as a single woman, the men who approach you in public and the men you run into trying to date, especially off dating apps are soooo cringe-worthy. It's gotten noticeably worse over the last decade so there's been a real shift in aggressiveness men display.

It's a weird dichotomy. Both our countries are experiencing economic and leadership turmoil. We have very similar legal codes. We share cultural origins.

My general attitude is to treat others as kind, just, and honoring as I can in the situation without discounting that my and my family's safety and well being comes first. I rarely get the same in return.

American men do not like that because it does not center them and it's not "nice". It doesn't show the proper respect.

Maybe our countries should set up Hop the Pond dating for heteronormative dating. Let our problem demographics sort each other out. Lol.
