Call it accountability. German soldiers laid all those mines. Tens of millions of mines. German soldiers should be accountable for removing them.

You can gripe about the unsafe conditions and the psychological trauma of the tesr walk. Didn't go unnoticed that you couldn't spare a sentence or two about how even with those test walks, the local polulations are gonna have to deal with the possibility that one gor missed and they might die or watch someone they love being blown to bits the rest of their lives. Cause that very real possibility, which we know from other accounts, isn't going anywhere.
