You sound like my mom, and ultimately this is cowardly. People who say this type of thing tend to be willing to sacrifice anything and anyone in order to maintain peace and avoid conflict. One of the things that gets sacrificed is an eventual resolution to the conflict. Thing is, by making that sacrifice, you accept the festering resentment of the aggrieved that will explode out eventually, worse and more damaging.

If you're tired of the "gender war", then don't make it a war. That's a media construct. Propaganda to sell papers and attention.
