You missed the point.

If men want to connect and have meaningful relationship, of whatever type ...that's a skillset. It's not like language, where if you don't learn the basics by 3, you'll only ever be able to manage rudimentary communication.

You can learn.

Regardless of what you were taught in youth or what was available to you or pushed on to you...as an adult, you're the captain of your own ship. You decide what's important and where and how to spend your time.

Yes, you still have to deal with other people, who are annoyingly captaining their ship in your way a lot of the time.

But what's stopping you from going after what you want? What you value?

Not a damned thing.

You just don't get to make those choices for anyone else, only you. And somebody is always going to have something to say about your choices. Always. Welcome to life.
