You misread what I said. I wasn't accusing you of being deaf or tone deaf or anything like that.

I was making an analogy. That's all.

It's true I could have said, "it's like women are speaking a radically different language than you". I would have meant it the same. But I chose sign language because unlike spoken language, it's a language that uses motion and the body. Since I was reflecting on how obtuse most men to body language, on my experience, it seemed more appropriate.

I wasn't settling out to hurt you. I find your honesty about your emotional state refreshing. It's something many men could learn from you.
