You mean they don't want any other role model than Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan.

You don't have to be famous to be a role model, after all. A role model is anyone who has characteristics or traits you admire and want to develop within yourself. A homeless guy down the street can be a role model. Maybe not his whole life, but maybe you admire his generosity, or how he sees use in almost everything, or his resilient spirit under duress.

The problem with young men and their perceived lack of role models is that they are idolatrous in seeking role models. For some strange reason, they don't pick out admirable things within many many people to create a unique template of who they want to be to model themselves after, they choose one or a very few famous people 'society' says is successful, covet that for themselves, and set out to be a carbon copy of this guy they idolize. Even in matters where said guy is a complete and utter failure.

It's the most bizarre thing. It's no different than that old pioneer story about lusting after a Clydesdale no small farmer has a
legitimate use for and will eventually bankrupt you trying to house and keep fed.

Nothing different two centuries on.

Not smart. It makes dupes of young men. And they are throwing their money and their future towarda being dupes in hordes.

I agree with the rest of your comment. Big part of our problem here is how we have criminalized youth as a response to the drug and gang crises. It's isolated young men and kept them indoors and seeking distractions far too much.
