You know, I sincerely believe that one of the reasons rape has been on the rise is that men realize how much women have been conditioned for fear, passivity, and pleasing men. They also know they will not face any consequences, even socially as the woman will be blamed.

If more women fought back, prepared to battle to death, and even armed themselves accordingly, even though many of them would be killed, overall assaults would go down. It wouldn't be worth it for the average rape opportunist.
