You don’t see the paradox there of being sexually attracted to one who could hurt you. Best you. Legally (until recently) rape you. Murder you.

You’re equating less fear with greater familiarity.

Think about it. Women aren’t stupid. You’re comment suggests we are or that white women would rather be racist than be aware. We know who our greatest threat is. It’s the men we live with. It’s white men.

But. We’ve also been around white men our whole lives and in more intimate (not sexual) circumstances than with black men. After all, our brothers, fathers, uncles, and grandfathers are white as well (most often) are they not?

We’re more familiar with what sets them off and more importantly, how to appease them or survive one of their melt downs.

So, the fear dynamic is filtered or mitigated a great deal. Doesn’t mean it’s gone. We’ve just learned to live with it.

Is it true that white women have been groomed to irrationally fear men of color as a means of propping up white supremacy? Yes. Absolutely, particularly as a dynamic of many faith traditions.

Is that the sum total explanation of what you see out in the world. No. Of course not. Nuance matters.

Again without recognizing how nuance plays into these dynamics the problems will never be solved because they’ll never be completely, truly, and authentically addressed.

And of course you’re judging. You can’t make that kind of statement based on your own one sided view from personal experience, casually disregard another’s point of view through their own personal experience and not be judging. And that’s okay. I’m not so fragile that I can’t handle someone’s judgement. Also, you don’t mean anything to me personally so there’s no reason why I should place your opinion above my own knowing.

You believe what you believe, and are generalizing because of it. We all do it and we all have biases that we have to work on.

I do appreciate your presence here and many of your thoughts. I just disagree with this one, in terms of absolutes and in part.

That’s hardly the end of the world.
