As an American, I've thought along the same lines regarding our right wing thugs. We're seeing some.of that play out now.

People should remember there are Nazis in probably every majority white nation. They did not.get wiped out after WWII. They've been festering in the wings, biding their time.

They're an insignificant part of the population wherever they are, but they are coordinating, recruiting, and seeking power again. They actually never stopped. We just got lazy and they're coming out of their secret crypts now.

Still, Putin is using Nazis as propaganda rhetoric for justification of the invasion.
