You bring up a very good point. How many of us single moms have been looked down on by "intact families" because we "broke up" our families only to find that their "morally acceptable intact family" is an absolute cesspool of dysfunction, that the kids are miserable and struggling, that one or both spouses is being unfaithful to the other, that the resentment in that house is so thick you could cut it with a knife, or that it's like a tomb (the family lives together but they're all alone, there's little to no interaction)?
