Yet these corporations were fine with using the legislstive and legal appaatus to do the same sort of thing, punish individuals over pettiness after them exercising first amendment rights.

Did they forget the legal fiction they created to give themselves political advantage? That Corporations are people too?

Well. This is what power does to people. It grinds them under heel, it's petty and vindictive. It's punishing and controlling.

Don't get me wrong, it's been both amusing and concerning to watch. Let's just not lose sight of the fact that Disney has played into a lot of 1st amendment attacks when it benefitted them to do so.
