Yes. The OP is vastly misrepresenting the current cultural zeitgeist driving American men.

Of course there are adventurous and open minded America men but that's a function of living in a culturally diverse country, and is true of many Americans, not just the men.

Likewise, openness to cultural diversity is hard. Lot of voices talking over each other and clammoring for attention and promoting their perspective. It's foolish to think there aren't supremacist ideologies running rampant in America too. You see it in many Americans, yes, those same "open minded" men will also hold ideas of superiority that come out eventually, especially toward women.
