Yes, it's pretty much the same. Being used and discardes is not much different than being discarded. The rejection comes from being discarded. So it's the same.
Actually, men are demonstrably more hypergamous. Most people.have shown a prederence around their own age and income level. But if men are the pursuers, your argument shows more that men tend to go after younger, prettier women.
A woman's shelf life is a concepr that's been around for a long time. That Marilyn Monroe song from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" speaks to the hypergamy of men.
As the pursued, women can only accept or reject amongst the interested parties.
Agree that on dating apps it seems there's a slight preference for older, more established men with the caveat that there are a lot of fake female profiles on dating apps to get men to shell out money so it's questionable how skewed it truly is and also that since not.many wen date odf of apps in the first place (it's something like 20% of women) and given the shitty behavior of men on these sites that has driven women of good intent away, the majority of the ones left are looking for a sugar daddy, grifters, or just looking for sex outside a real relationship. Again, no way to know how skewed it truly is.
