Excellent except for that bit about Spiderman.

There is no 'weary' parental voice when your child is playing Spiderman and it's not from the ceiling fan. It's literal wall crawling.

Trust me, I speak from experience.

You could change 'weary' to 'frightened' or 'rattled' though. Maybe 'tight', 'strained', 'quavering', or 'taut'.
