It makes zero sense to restrict water for farmers when, I'm the city, thousands of swimming pools are being kept full, hundreds or water fountains and misters are running nonstop, and landscaping is being watered.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that farmers need to be restricted too, if only to force them adopt more efficient irrigation practices. But for fuck's sake people, priorities. You've got to eat too. You're going to need excess water to put out the fires, not for recreation.
