Yes, but it is the racism, not your gender that causes the longer sentences for some men over others. The discrimination is based in racism, not you being male. That's because society places a higher value on whiteness than other races and seeks to discriminate against those other races as an expression of those biases.
I'm not saying men don't face discrimination. I'm saying it's not their maleness that "causes" it in a legal or societal sense.
There are no historical or present laws that restrict your rights of personhood, or your opportunities in life, or your access to institutional means of self determination based on you being male.
There is and have been if you are not white. If you are a sexual minority. If you are poor. If you are disabled. And arguably, if you are aged.
In our society we do have gender bias. But the preferential side of that bias almost unilaterally goes to males with one or two arguable exceptions.
But yes. Absolutely. Between two males, other means of bias, discrimination, and oppression can and do come into play.
