Yes and yes.

To be fair, a few of them had mental problems after war service.

There aren't many as most died before their wives. If they had daughtersz they'd be okay.

My uncle is going to have problems unless he goes quick, like with a heart attack. He's getting on in years -- two sons. My brother will have problems.

I've got a cousin who went into care after the found brain cancer. He was still relatively young and in otherwise good health. He went pretty fast, but he chose palliative care rather than to fight it. Another cousin, a neighbor found him dead after two weeks once the mailman asked if they knew why he wasn't collecting his mail.

Every single one of them were or are horrible toward their female relations and look down on women in general and they were or are cranks. Nigh intolerable to be around.

And all of them worry about dying.
