Yes and no. Don't forget, a wonder bra can still also be a push up bra, which is about looks, lift and making size look bigger. A wonder bra can also be a padded bra, which is more about modesty (partially erect nipples) but also makes your breasts look a little bigger.

It's all pretty much mix and match now. Or, maybe it makes more sense to describe it as bra features are package deals now, but they weren't originally designed that way or manufactured that way. I don't know thr last time I saw a wonder bra that was "just" a wonder bra and not also something else. I assume you can still buy them though.

And yes, as far as the design purpose goes, it was about movement being less restricted and not to titillate men. Generally speaking, you use lingerie and perfumes for that. Duh.
