Yep. The ones who struggle with hardship and poverty are not single mothers by choice. They were abandoned with little notice, left destitute rather than an equitable split of resources, with no time to adjust. Like, if she was by agreement a stay at home mom, they could decide to split and give her some time to find a job before they do. That never happens though. They get left with the family home and a mortgage they can’t cover by themselves. Their income gets ties up with lawyers and the court system. Lots of fathers, as you said, utilize the courts to punish their exes.

To be fair, all these things can absolutely go the other way. Women can be just as heartless and cruel.

It happens to a lot more moms than dad’s though.
