Yep payment for services rendered. No service/broken service =no payment. Add fiscal penalties for mental duress and anguish.
Maybe put a pin in the boycott and social media bit for a bit. Don’t get me wrong, boycotts DO work wonders. And social media can definitely punish a business and publicly shame the owner as well, just like he publicly shamed that child.
That said, you can’t punish the business without also punishing the employees who depend on tips, in this instance.
So maybe keep it as a nuclear option but try negotiation, strategic pressure and guerrilla tactics first.
The goal here is to correct unacceptable behavior and protect civil liberties. Not match an 'atrocity' of the culture wars with an equivalent liberal 'atrocity’.
Mutual annihilation is not winning. Nor is it progress.
