Yep. Nobody caree about the lonliness epidemic when it was women downing handfuls of mood pills chased by fifths of vodka everyday just to get through their day. Or, sometimes hopefully, not.

Or taking a long jump. Some hung themselves. A hot bath and a razor blade was a classic for a reason.

That's what bugs me about these proposed "solutions". Really says it all, doesn't it? It's okay when women kill themselves from loneliness. It's a problem when men do. So we have to shift the suicide burden back to the 'right' way. For society. Even though women are ALREADY attempting suicide in greater numbers than men.

Because what we won't do......what we'll never do.....is fix our culture and society for the greatest widespread wellbeing of everyone so that ALL people are less likely to try to kill themselves.
