Yeah. You hear about this one a lot too. A friend of mine's husband abandoned her and their daughter when she was born with Down's. Said he didn't want his life ruined having to care for a needy child and he didn't want half a wife because she wouldn't have as much time to cater to him.

Ouch.

Everyone was shocked. I wasn't so much, but I was surprised. I'd picked up on some inklings, you know ... "jokes". I sure was disappointed for both of them though. That was rough.
