Yeah, we know he lied. And to be fair, I don't know that they have stuff like that anymore either. It's been a while since I was a teenager and they've kinda criminalized youth since then. Yeah, CAP was a lot of fun and it was good good for me to develop some Civic responsibility. No doubt that's kind of lacking today.
I guess it comes down to, I know he lied but it was a believable lie. I just have a hard time throwing blame at the mother's feet for believing a believable lie.
I would not have doubted my child if it had been me. But, she's a girl so I would have demanded to know where you're going, who you're going with, what are their numbers, and you're checking in here, here, here. Boys do not get monitored with the scrutiny girls do.

Makes sense. If it's pretty universal to monitor girls to keep them safe it should be universal to monitor boys to keep them from violence behavior. After all, who's hurting all these young women and shooting up shopping malls?
