Yeah. They're scary. More than a few have reminded me of Manson's followers. They have no line they won't cross, should he even hint at it. And he's like the little boy who likes to burn ants with a magnifying glass for amusement. It's clear he enjoys the torture and the power it gives him, but he's smart enough to do it to those no one else cares about (ants) rather than torture puppies or bunnies in plain sight.

For now. Eventually he'll get bored of ants scurrying and look for nore amusing targets. Ones that will cause more upset and thus make him feel more powerful.
