Yeah, there's something going on with women, particularly amongst comservative women. There's a vicious backlash against general liberalism. Big part of any fascist uprise is going to be played out against women. Republicans have been waging a war against women for years and women are their best foot soldiers on that.

What's wrog with people is that we are living how we are not evolved to live. Our social system is one that cyclicly violent because it's unnatural to our evolution. Social bonds are breaking down across the board because they're devalued, deprioritized, and disproportionately burdened within the population on those individuals most crushed by system.

In other words, you're witnessing a Yertling of the turtle stack. Until that cough comes, the fever you're noticing will continue to climb.
