Yeah, there's a difference between playing as a hobby and becoming obsessed addicted, and even sort of cultish about gaming to the point where you're sitting up on someone else's dime and doing nothing else. It's your whole world. You're not eating, you're not sleeping. You're not bathing. You're life is squalor.

At this point, there's not much difference between you and some crack addict sitting in filth on a street corner screaming obscenities at people on the street because you're raging or in withdrawls.
