Yeah, the airline. No company can force employees to work under conditions that put them in harm’s way like that, where they are expected to endure physical assault as a condition of employment.
Think of convenience store clerks. If the place gets robbed, there are procedures. You’re supposed to act to save lives and not protect the money. However, part of that is just a judgement call. You can’t be fired if you kill or restrain the thief if you get the chance.
Fundamental right to protect your life.
If they do fire you, you have grounds for a lawsuit.
As far as reporting goes... OSHA, union if there is one, attorney general, better business bureau, anywhere and everywhere you can.
The point is, this situation is one that is worth push back. It’s not enough that the brat got arrested. Eventually. He won’t face many consequences, certainly not enough to be a detriment to others acting out in public this way. I think we can all agree public adult tantrums are becoming a prevalent problem
Reasonable people, just going about their day and doing their jobs, shouldn’t be expected to just take it in order to maintain their livelihoods. That’s unreasonable.
