The second part of your comment relates to thr second part of mine, again, in other words. Not accepting the role of the receiver rather than the initiator. Pulling this, "I'm being emasculated" or "I have to be in charge" bullshit.

These .en need to realize they don't get it both ways. If they want to be in charge, then be in charge. Leaders don't whine about their leadership.

Otherwise, show up with respect and graciousness,, be charming and entertaining, flirt appropriately, dress to impress, don't be weird, don't make them sorry they wasted their time on you.

Step into that role of being sociable and amenable, or don't complain that no one wants to ask you out. Why would they? They'd have a better date with a turtle. At least there'd be some entertainment and fascination, rather than continually suppressing sighs of "ugh".
