Yeah. Most everything everyone tells you is wrong. It might have been true for them, but babies don't roll off a factory floor having been programmed and coded all the same.

Sometimes newborns are a nightmare. Sometimes they sleep 20 hrs a day,.which is not always great either because you don't get out as much.

When it comes to kids, two philosophies come to mind that are more true that stuff that's always said, in my experience.

The grass is always greener on the other side. When you're struggling where you're at, it's easy to overlook how the opposite isn't necessarily the picnic you think it is either.

Childhood development is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. Every parent faces challenges. Very few kids go through all stages of development breezily. There's no telling which bits are going to be fun and "easy" and which ones are going to make want to rip your hair out, feel resentful, or wish to God you'd never had the little horrors in the first place. It will pass.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is cling to hope that whatever you're facing at that juncture isn't going to last. It will pass.
