As I said, I understand not wanting to watch women be mutilated and beaten in the street. No one should want that. We should be repulsed. That's natural.

The question is, do you have the same twisted gut reaction to news images of women wearing a burka being flogged or or black women having had their breasts cut off?

If you don't, you might want to ask yourself why.

Incidentally, we really shouldn't relish the sight of men's bodies being tortured and mutilated either.

We all deserve better.
