Yeah. It's hard to stay balanced. There's something unsettling about either side. There's that chafe of reality if you try to stick your head in the sand or walk around with blinders on. There's the persistent creep of a drowning sensation if you try to rally people into awareness all the time. Plus, we're not going to save it. It's too late for that. The Covid/mask debacle has convinced me of that. So I'm preparing my family and friends for what's to come. And trying to enjoy life as we know it while it's still here to enjoy.

My daughter, my dog, and I went skating today. Even the dog was grinning. It was a good day. Tomorrow I'm working overtime, and will be all week. The extra money will buy some tools we don't have, stock the pantry for shortages, and be squirreled away for bigger ticket items. This year I became debt free.

You're doing great work. I love your articles and the way you lay it all out. Don't let yourself burn out. Take a day once a week for your family. You don't have to spend a lot of money. One weekend a month for you and your husband to focus on each other, and 2 weeks a year for the family. You won't regret it.
