Yeah, it logically makes no sense. They tie it in to religion though and attach it to the old doctrine of manifest destiny,.part of which was that God wanted Americans (meaning European settlers) to have this land.

And as Scott said, a lot of these people are just too stupid to see through the hype, hysteria, and propaganda.

With everything in the world, every kind of resource, learning material, and commentary available to most Americans via the internet today though, you have to work hard to remain so ignorant regardless of the educational system's successes and failures. I disagree with Scott there. After all, Donald Trump wen to the best schools in America and look at how ignorant he chose to be.

That, to me, is the real deprivation. There has been a successful war against intelligence and people are choosing to remain ignorant.
