Yeah, I personally have known 3 people who discovered, after their father died, that they had sibling(s) they never knew existed. They found hidden childhood pictures with their dad in many of them.

My daughter's father was one of them.

When systems are designed to protect abusive behavior, abuse will be rampant. When culture shames the victims of abuse, the abuse will be hidden at all costs.
