Yeah. I know a fair number of people who used the pandemic time and the internet to get new skills, including office skills.

They've gotten better jobs instead of going back to abusive working conditions working in the service industry. To be clear though, it's not just the employers. The way a lot of customers treat service industry employees is absolutely abhorrent.
