Yeah, I know. Plus his referring to his "monster" and that he's a "beast", the fact that he has a fetish for very young women (Winona Rider was underage when they got together), the violent fantasies, look at who his besties are, compensatory over generosity (history of buying forgiveness in other words), the questions around his old business partner's disappearance and murder, meltdowns on set, etc.
Youre preaching to the choir. I wouldn't day him. He wouldn't be interested in me anyway as we're nearly thr same age. I wouldn't allow my daughter to date him either and she pretty much had free rein.
Plus he lied as much as she did and the jury didn't see that.
I'm of the belief that all addicts are abusive to those around them at some point. Not necessarily physical; it's mostly emotional and/or financial.
To be fair, I'm also of thr opinion that she crossed the line too. Reactive violence can't be used to explain away all her behavior. Some of it, probably. But all of it? No way.
Those two were a toxic spiral straight down.
