Yeah, but that was the whole point of the outrage and moral panic. To deflect about what the litter was really for and what it's like to go through a drill or an actual lockdown event, whether it turns out to be an active shooter, or not.

You forgot to mention that the litter is for soaking up the blood too, to keep the kids from panicking further and from falling down if they have to suddenly flee over an injured or dead classmate. Those are what the litter is REALLY for.
