Yahweh did not rape Mary. She consented.

Everything else I pretty much agree with. The God of the Bible is an entity full of caprice and inconsistencies.

Nonetheless, I feel it's important to make plain that Mary gave consent because right now Evangelicals are assaulting the autonomy of women. They're using the name of God and Jesus to do it.

But how can that be when God, who faced absolutely no recrimination, censure, or consequence for forcing a young, vulnerable woman into performing this service for Him recognized her value and humanity enough to gain consent?

God respects the autonomy and choice of women. So should men.
