There are many societies that do not recognize specific fathers. Those children are fine. Most fatherless children turn out fine, in fact.

I would argue that forcing men to be a father when they clearly are resentful over the responsibilities and how it “cramps their style” does far more harm in the long run.

It’s not really helpful. It just adds more drama and volatility to the situation.
