Wow. Ok, 2 points.

First, the bit about Florida was obvious hyperbole. He meant in the foreseeable future.

Second, one does not have to die from a disease to get very sick from it. The consequences of that are not just the potential of extreme illness requiring hospitilization or even needing respiratory rehabilitative care for a longer time than the infectious part of the disease. What about the financial cost? Even with insurance, hospital stays are prohibitively costly. Remind me again, how many people have lost their jobs? And how many people are gonna lose their insurance which becomes more likely the longer this drags out? You think the Donald or the Grim Reaper has your back on that? They’re already walking back the promise to pay for testing.

You should take a look at the whole picture and do a full risk assessment for yourself and anyone you share living space with beyond just whether you live or die. The question is not just your risk of dying but how well you’re going to be able to live after you or a family member has been infected and how long it’s going to take you to completely recover beyond just the health aspects. That’s not being a ‘pussy’, that’s being prudent.

As an adjunct to that point, I’m hearing/reading a lot of hyper masculine male on male man bashing the mental gymnastics of which is more than a little dizzying. I bring this up with you because you specifically called the the author a ‘pussy’.

So let’s review. Typical definitions of the divine male ethos include stoic mandates of logic and reason. Real men use their strength and stoicism to protect others often at personal risk to themselves. Traditionally, this plays out in various forms of physical altercation. Thus, heroes are born.

It just so happens that for one of the few times in history any man in the world has the ability to step into that 'hero' status without arduous and long hours of training and preparation and zero risk to themselves by simply donning a mask. It’s never going to be this easy to be a real man — a man of action, a man to be respected, a man women will desire in your lifetime again.

But instead, all you men tearing down other men because you think it makes you look weak to wear a mask actually could not be further away from the divine male ethos. You could not be less of a man right now. You have not been acted logically, you have acted unreasonably. You have not reasoned things out like an adult, you’ve thrown tired and petulant ego tantrums over social media because you’ve been asked to think of someone other than yourself. Instead of stepping up and being that defender, that hero to be admired, you’re whining about how fortune favors the bold so everyone else is a ‘pussy’.

You know what, I’ll give you that one. On occasion, fortune does in fact favor the bold. However, life is not all about money and nature has a way of taking care of stupid people.
