Words mean what they mean. Philosophy can't alter that.

That's why the Constitution says 'the pursuit'....happiness can't be a goal because of what it means: a state of well-being and contentment; the quality or state od being happy.

But the pursuit of that state can be a goal as well as a self evident, inalienable right. And it is because the founders were better Cbristians and Americans than today's offerings.

They also had dictionaries they copiously used.

Technological convenience really is the thief of happiness and joy. So glad you agree.
