Wonder bras are still around. This dude is confused. A wonderbra can be a push up bra, but push up bras are not wonder bras necessarily.

What makes it a woderbra is a diagonal cut and elastic cut on the bias.

Women wear Wonder bras not to deceive men, but because they'll straps don't into your shoulders as bad and they give more movement and range of motion before that top seam starts to pinch into the tops of your breasts every time you twist around or move in a way that shifts the weight of your breasts significantly. It isn't exactly firm and secure tissue in there like muscle attached to bone. It's glandular and connective tissue and fat which is why it will jiggle jiggle when you wiggle wiggle.
