Why is it everytime the right talks about "compromise", what they mean is bowing to their every insane whim and fear?

I'm a gun owner. Many liberals are. I don't personally hunt, but I support hunting. Many liberals do.

I'm also for bans of certain types of firearms, licensing, and reasonable restrictions.
