Why are we singing an old slave spiritual song at a rugby game?
Just out of morbid curiosity....
How is this song supposed to function in a rugby game?
So like, you're at a rugby game and the audience starts singing "Swing Low,...". The lyrics call down the angels of death to liberate the players and take them to Glory, which is Heaven.
Which players, exactly? Which team?
Not that it matters because nbody can win the game in either scenario. There is no win by forfeit when the opposing team gets raptured. And, you may or may not get to stay in Glory once you get there because you still have to face judgement. I'm just saying that if certain believers are correct and only 525,000 people who have existed throughout time are worthy enough for Glory, it doesn't pay to hasten judgement. You'll want all the time you can get to get your shit straightes out so you'll have the best chance.
No offense, but I don't think Rugby fans have thought this one through well at all.
