Well, you're wrong there. He was already visible because of the media coverage in far right wing media. Its not just that he's so outrageous, it's that the outrage is being shoved down everyone's thoats by the media.

Liberals don't actually go looking for this shit. They're like the fucking Mormons, constantly banging on your door and slipping copies of the Watchtower under your windshield wipers. Just always around, trying to get a foofhold in your life

Fuentes is not news, but the media has made him relevant and given him a platform. And he has the backing of religious groups.

You know he assaulted a woman the other day for knocking on his door, and damaged and stole her property?

This is who the media and churches have chosen as a role model for young men.

And this is why it's a catch 22. Youre right about adding to the attention, but you're wrong about ignoring it. TTats been no solution either. Andrew Tate was ignored for far too long. So was Peterson.

Ignoring shit like that is silent acceptance of norms shifting due to the engine behind it. It's not just about the Influencer DoucheBros, there will always be another. But their fuckwit behavior is being normalized.

Are you aware of the harassment that started up after his comments? In our schools? On the street? And definitely online? There are now reports of 13 year old boys basically making rape threats to their female classmates and harassing them nonstop after his little media backed moment, and it's happening all over the country.

AND once again, for the most part what men are doing is cheering it on, staying silent, "#NotAllMen"-ing, or "free speech"-ing.

Why does he get the free speech but you think everyone else should be silent? Maybe the problem in the face of that media engine is that there's been too much silence for far too long.

Why is expressing disgust when someone does something disgusting and revolting suddenly just about outrage? Why is it youre notnoutraged fornpointing that hes a fucking pig who thinks he's a cute pug not outrage, but a feminist or anyone else who also pointing out that he's a disgusting pig "falling for the trap of outrage". Not may critics of Fuentes are performing outrage, theyre telatively quiet, especially compared to the constant high octane whinging from the right about how the left are so outraged.

Really? Your friend pointed something out in a coffee shop. Probably because it showed up on her feed because that's how algorithms work. She asked for your take.

That's hardly marching in the street or dumping trash at the President's house.

So who's really outraged?
